Eastern Medicine

from The Oracle by Justin Gracer

/

lyrics

Lanterns swaying, dead and broken
all was calm in early hour
rain return and brings along
a soul from frozen harbor on the lake

and I walked that path by morning
still I be guided only
by epic fog
and what I found would haunt me still today

I opened up but held release till I
load and listen the angels wail
(above)
a clouded sky

she often mask her stories
she always high and lonely
as she profess
the legacies and futures held for man

opium was key to open doors
buried deep in the maze of mind
(behind)
her shrouded eyes

everyday as she had said
she always came, her normal hour
everyday she call, I answer
we both the same
until only one remains standing…

…and I watch her head roll.

call it superstition
you reduce your panic
its a new suspcion
of a paper dragon

cant you hear me calling?
can you please forgive me?
are you even listening?
can you even hear me?
